About ABC

ABC is a non-denominational, not-for-profit, child placing agency licensed in the states by Kansas and Missouri. We have been in business since 1994 and we provide services throughout Kansas and Missouri as well as arrange interstate and international placements.

In our Domestic Program, we have a strong belief in the open adoption concept. We believe in open adoption because we feel that the fewer secrets that are kept from children and the people that love them, the better. The majority of the birth parents we work with request some level of openness in their adoption. For this reason we focus on educating our perspective adoptive parents about open adoption and its merits. To our knowledge, ours is the only agency in our area to hold an annual open adoption picnic, commonly called, "ABC's Annual Family Reunion". At this picnic, adoptive parents and birth parents enjoy food, fellowship, and the children that have brought them together.

Internationally, we are constantly growing! We help support two Russian orphanages and work with wonderful volunteers in Russia to arrange adoptions between our countries. Our most recent venture is the Together Foundation, designed to provide much needed help to the orphans of Russia.

We also have active adoption programs in Guatemala, China and South Korea.

We also provide specialized services for those adoptive families who need home studies, post-placement monitoring, etc., but are adopting through other venues. If you have additional questions for us, please contact us!
