2. What services do you provide to birth parent(s)?
We provide counseling at no cost to birthparents.
3. What is a home study?
A home study is a several page document that tells a story about the adoptive family and includes topics such as: background of parent(s), religious preferences, financial stability, parenting/discipline issues, views on adoption and openness, reasons for adoption and infertility, housing, and employment. There may be other issue addressed as well. You can count on a least one visit to your home during this process, maybe more.
4. We have a home study already. Can we use it with your agency?
Yes. We charge a small fee to review the study and approve it. As long as it was done by a licensed professional, it will probably be fine. ABC must complete home studies for our China and South Korea programs.
