Birth Parent Services
Birthparents choose the adoptive family by reviewing the profiles put together by the perspective adoptive family. Further steps toward final selection may include conference calls and/or face-to-face meetings with the adoptive family. ABC Adoption will support you by facilitating these meetings.
ABC Adoption requires all of their adoptive families to share pictures with the birthparents every month for the first year. At that point, communication arrangements are decided between the parties involved. ABC Adoption will facilitate sharing pictures and letters between birthparents and adoptive families infinitely. All medical expenses related to the pregnancy and the birth of the child that are not covered by Medicaid or private health insurance will be paid. We encourage birthparents to explore their options available for medical coverage to avoid any influence it may have on their final decision.
Education on all of your options will be explained to you by experienced ABC Adoption staff who are there to advocate solely for you.
Counseling and support will be provided throughout the pregnancy and after placement. This may include monthly support groups, individual and family counseling.
Coordination of the assistance for temporary housing during the pregnancy is available.
